This Privacy Policy explains how the Playfyn app (“Playfyn”, “the app”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), published by Playfyn Media, LLC, handles your information.
Playfyn is a media player for Apple TV (tvOS) that connects to a media server you provide and control (such as a Jellyfin or Plex server). Playfyn is a client application: it does not operate any servers of its own, does not host your media, and does not require you to create an account with us.
In short: Playfyn does not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data to us or to any third party. The details below explain exactly what information the app handles and where it goes.

Although we do not collect data, the app necessarily handles some information on your device and exchanges some information with the media server you choose to connect to. None of this is sent to us.
To connect to your media server, you enter your server's address and your sign-in credentials (username and password, or a Quick Connect code).
When you browse and watch content, the app requests media information and images from your server and reports playback status back to it — for example, your current playback position, play/pause state, play counts, and favorites.
Your in-app settings (appearance, playback, language, and network preferences) are stored locally on your device only.
Playfyn offers a one-time in-app purchase (“Pro”) that unlocks unlimited playback.

Playfyn is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal data, no such information is gathered from any user.
Because we do not collect or hold any of your personal data, there is no personal data held by us for you to access, correct, export, or delete. You can exercise full control over the data the app stores locally as described in Section 7.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — including rights of access, deletion, and the right not to have personal information sold. We do not sell or share personal information, and we hold no personal data about you. For any data held by your media server, please contact that server's operator. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and post the new version at the same URL. Significant changes may also be noted in the app's release notes. Your continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
